individual therapy
Therapy offers you a space where you don’t have to carry things on your own. In our sessions, you will be invited to talk about your life, your relationships, and the way you experience yourself in the world. Together, we will gently explore the stories you bring, noticing what they reveal about your lived experience.
There may be something particular that has brought you to therapy, perhaps a difficult experience, a relationship that feels challenging, or a sense that something in your life isn't quite as you would wish it to be. At other times, the reasons for seeking therapy can be harder to articulate. You might find yourself feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply curious about aspects of yourself that you have yet to fully understand.
Whatever brings you here, I believe there is value in approaching your experiences with curiosity rather than judgement. Our work might involve exploring the influence of your past, recognising patterns in your relationships, or considering how your values, beliefs, and expectations shape the way you move through the world. It may also mean making space for feelings or experiences that have been difficult to acknowledge, even to yourself.
Central to my approach is the relationship we develop together. I see therapy as a collaborative process, one in which your understanding of yourself is just as important as any knowledge or perspective I might bring. Through our conversations, we can begin to notice not only what is happening in your life, but also how you experience yourself in relation to others, including within the therapeutic relationship itself.
Starting therapy, or beginning again with a new therapist, can feel daunting. I provide a non-judgemental and accepting space where you can explore whatever challenges or questions have brought you here, and work collaboratively to find clarity, understanding, and a sense of direction in your life.
